Prince’s estate Paisley Park has announced its first-ever battle of the bands competition, Musicology (which shares a name with Prince’s 2004 album). Nine artists will be selected from video submissions to compete from August 31—September 3 at Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota, with the focus of the event being “Real Music by Real Musicians.”
