E’ iniziato il nuovo anno, ma nessuna notizia di rilievo.
Unica news l’annuncio dell’uscita per il 12 febbraio del remix del brano “2nite” ad opera della Purple Music, la stessa etichetta che ha pubblicato lo scorso dicembre quello del brano “Dance 4 Me”. La canzone datata 2009 è scritta e prodotta da Prince e fa parte dell’album d’esordio “Elixer” della cantante Bria Valente.

Colto dalla noia mi sono deciso a stilare un elenco degli show televisivi o cerimonie di premiazioni, i cosiddetti awards, che hanno visto come protagonista Prince.  La lista, ottenuta facendo un merge di quello che si trova su PrinceVault e l’elenco dei video che ho nella mia raccolta, racchiude solo quegli eventi televisivi nei quali Prince è stato invitato ad esibirsi dal vivo di fronte al pubblico presente. Tra queste anche eventi sportivi come il SuperBall o le Special Olimpics. Non pensiate che le uniche comparsate televisive siano solo queste. Ho escluso le interviste, le cerimonie dove è stato premiato, le sue presenze come testimonial per la consegne di riconoscimenti, le conferenze stampa, le anteprime MTV dei sui film o eventi di presentazione di nuovi album come potrebbero essere “The Art Of Musicology” oppure “Emancipation Freedom MTV Day Concert”.  In alcuni casi la data indicata rappresenta il giorno in cui è stata registrata la trasmissione. Infatti la lista inizia con “American Bandstand”, ma la sua prima vera apparizione trasmessa sui teleschermi è stata quella del 11 gennaio 1980 a “The Midnight Special”.  L’anno più’ prolifero? Il 1999 con la bellezza di 10 presenze solo nel mese di novembre a fronte di una forte promozione dell’album “Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic” pubblicato all’inizio dello stesso mese.
